The Eyal Vilner Big Band

Saxophonist, clarinetist, composer and arranger Eyal Vilner is one of the leading voices in the current New York Swing and Big Band scene. He was born in Tel Aviv and moved to New York in 2007 to study at the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music. Since its inception in 2008, The Eyal Vilner Big Band has performed widely at some of New York’s landmarks such as Jazz at Lincoln Center, Swing 46, Swing ReMix, Smalls Jazz Club, The Django, Minton’s Playhouse, The Intrepid and Central Park SummerStage. The band’s three albums, Introducing the Eyal Vilner Big Band, Almost Sunrise and Hanukkah, received rave reviews and stand strong at the Top Jazz Radio Charts of the US and Canada.

Eli and the Chocolate Factory

This band has evolved from playing the streets of Tel Aviv and small swing dance parties, to performing on significant stages and festivals in Israel.

The band's sound is based upon the rhythms and polyphonic style, typical of New Orleans: group improvisation and spontaneous action. The repertoire spans from old blues tunes and spirituals to popular songs from the 1930's, with Preminger's vocals in English, Yiddish and Polish (!). Bringing creole and latin grooves back to traditional jazz, they created some fresh swinging arrangements for old music, both well known and forgotten.

Ron and the Red Beans

Ron and the Red Beans are a Israeli group playing swinging music, fun and jolly. They are usually accompanied by the charming Josette Wiggan on the tap board. Altogether they create a great dancing incentive!
